Climate Art & Activism Forum

Concord, NH-- It's so easy to feel despair at the state of the climate crisis in NH - especially with the flooding, fires, and other natural disasters facing us this year. BUT - there is also hope. People across NH have been fighting for climate justice for generations, and today's youth are taking the lead to make sure we can build a better future together.

On August 18, we will share art, poems, and hold a forum to talk about the state of the climate crisis in NH - and what we need to do together to move forward. We'll name what we want to see NH do to address the climate crisis, hold space for storytelling, talk about how we can educate the public on these important issues, and take action together in pursuit of a livable climate and future.

“Being a high school student in this age of both environmental growth and destruction is disheartening, especially when those who have the power to fight climate change don’t harbor the same passion and urgency that I do. l am involved in this event because I want to shine a light on youth who have found ways to express their reasons to be apart of the climate movement, so it can be recognized and used as a part of the fight towards a climate conscious state” says Adee Cooper, rising senior at Bow High School.

The event is scheduled to take place from 6:00-8:00pm at the Concord Unitarian Universalist Church (274 Pleasant St, Concord, NH, 03301).
