We are promoting “Choose Democracy”
What is the goal of Choose Democracy, a group preparing for a potential coup in 2020? As stated on their website:
“Democracy is fragile. We have reason to worry that this fall we may see an undemocratic power grab — a coup. We also know that the people can defend our democracy. Nonviolent mass protests have stopped coups in other places, and we may have to do the same in this country.
That’s why we are committing now to choose democracy: by voting, making sure all the votes are counted, and preparing to take the streets in the case of a coup.”

Together, we choose democracy
Sign Choose Democracy’s pledge to support a democratic election through the following steps:
1. To vote.
2. To refuse to accept election results until all the votes are
counted.
3. To nonviolently take to the streets if a coup is attempted.
4. If need be, to shut down this country to protect the
integrity of the democratic process.
